HG Build & Development is an architecture, construction and development firm based in McAllen, Texas, founded by architect Heriberto Gómez Jr. It is a young organization backed by an uncommon asset: more than two decades of its founder's professional career, practiced on both sides of the border through firms such as Eco Arquitectos and HG3 Studio.
Our specialization is end-to-end. We lead every project from start to finish under a single accountable direction, avoiding the fragmentation that drives up cost and delays the work: one team conceives the project, defines the engineering, coordinates and supervises the specialists, controls the budget and delivers the finished result. The client deals with a single point of contact who answers for the whole.
Our capability spans four complementary sectors — luxury residential, commercial, industrial and land development — and projects of every scale, from a custom home to a fully urbanized subdivision. It is distinguished by a decidedly technical orientation: we engineer each project's building systems and incorporate leading-edge technology, including artificial intelligence applied to construction.
That trajectory now translates into institutional capacity. We operate with our own methods, processes and standards, grounded in the experience of more than eighty projects, and we work in English and Spanish with the closeness of a local team and the rigor of a firm that knows its craft. History
From a professional career to a company.
The story of HG Build & Development predates its incorporation. It begins in 2005, when its founder — newly credentialed by the Universidad de Monterrey — started his professional practice directing residential and industrial projects, among them work for LG Electronics, learning the craft of turnkey delivery in the field.
Between 2007 and 2015 he took on construction leadership at regional firms and builders, extending his reach into public works awarded through competitive bidding: schools, paving, plazas and community centers. It was the period that forged his discipline in cost, schedule and regulatory compliance.
In 2015 he brought his practice to the United States with Eco Arquitectos in McAllen, and in 2016 he founded HG3 Studio, a firm of architecture, construction and project management. Over the years, his portfolio matured toward turnkey luxury residences and new projects across South Texas and San Antonio.
Incorporated in 2026, HG Build & Development represents the natural culmination of that path: a U.S. company that concentrates more than twenty years of its founder's experience and places it at the service of McAllen, the Rio Grande Valley and the State of Texas. The same leadership, the same standards — now with a structure of its own.

With more than two decades leading architecture, construction and development projects, Heriberto Gómez Jr. has built a career defined by technical rigor, an integral vision of the project and an uncompromising standard of execution. His leadership spans the entire construction cycle — from concept and engineering to construction management and final delivery — under a principle that distinguishes his practice: a single, accountable direction, from the first line to the final key.
An architect trained at the Universidad de Monterrey, he has practiced without interruption on both sides of the border. As founder and director, he personally takes charge of coordinating every discipline a project requires and assembling the specialists — engineers, contractors and consultants — best suited to each undertaking, aligning them to a single vision and holding them to one standard of execution. That capacity, refined across more than eighty projects and consolidated at the head of HG3 Studio and Eco Arquitectos, is today the foundation on which he establishes HG Build & Development.
He is distinguished by a perspective closer to engineering than to conventional architecture. He conceives every project as an integrated system: he establishes the design criteria for its electrical, plumbing, smart and solar systems and directs the specialists who execute the calculations, always preserving the original design intent. To that discipline he adds leading-edge technology — home automation, audio and video systems, and artificial intelligence applied to construction — along with his own precision diagnostics kit: drones, thermal imaging, LiDAR scanning and laser measurement.
His vision at the helm of HG Build & Development is as clear as it is ambitious: to transform decades of craft into an organization capable of delivering — with method, standard and accountability — work of excellence for the Rio Grande Valley and the State of Texas.
